Montana Attorney General’s statement on Bull Mt. Mine
Attorney General Fox’s Statement on Land Board Vote to Expand Bull Mountain MineMontana Attorney General Tim Fox, a member of the state Board of Land Commissioners, released the following statement after the board voted unanimously to expand the Bull Mountain coal mine in Musselshell County this morning:
“This morning, the Board of Land Commissioners made the right decision to approve expansion of the Bull Mountain Mine. Our vote means at least another decade of secure employment and family-wage jobs for 325 Montanans. Those jobs pay over $40 million per year in salaries and benefits. It also means more than $100 million in new state and local revenue for our schools, infrastructure, and other vital public services. As a member of the Board of Land Commissioners, I am looking forward to more opportunities to responsibly develop our state’s natural resources for the benefit of all Montanans.” F
