Montana: CattleWomen meet June 13 in Baker
The Baker CowBelles of Baker, MT will host this year’s Montana CattleWomen’s Midyear meeting. The meeting will take place at the Tavern, 11 S. Main St, on June 13, 2011, with registration beginning at 9 a.m.
General Session will be the first order of business, followed by Doreen Gillespie of Ethridge, MT, a member of the National Beef Speakers Bureau. Doreen was trained by the American National CattleWomen, Animal Wellbeing Committee to educate both adult and youth in the non-agricultural consumer audience with her “Tell the Beef Story.” It is also her job to train 10 additional CattleWomen to speak on behalf of the beef industry.
During lunch, the Baker CowBelles will honor their 50-year members, as 2011 marks the organizations 50th anniversary.
In the afternoon, Charlene Rich of the Montana Beef Council office will address “Hormones and Your Food.” Participants will be astounded to find out that most of green vegetables servings contain more hormones than a 3-oz. serving of beef does.
All Montana CattleWomen members are invited to attend the meeting. For registration information, contact Wanda Pinnow at 406-978-3521 or e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
