Montana Farm Bureau: Fall Fest slated for October in Glendive
GLENDIVE—The Second Annual Fall Fest is coming October 21 to the Moose Lodge in Glendive. This is the second year that members from District 6 County Farm Bureaus, which includes Dawson-Wibaux, Richland, Prairie and McCone Counties, have joined together to create an educational and fun event that’s open to everyone, Farm Bureau member or not. It’s a great way to catch up with your neighbors as well as make new agricultural friends from other counties.
The speaker is South Dakota native Clay Conry, host of the Working Cows Podcast. His keynote, “What is Your Labor Force?” will explain how to make your land, animals, and money work for you, and how to maintain your legacy even if you lose the ranch.
“This year’s 2nd annual Fall Fest event is shaping up to be a great evening full of fellowship, food, learning, music and fun,” said Tienna Canen, Farm Fest organizer. “Farmers and ranchers in eastern Montana have few opportunities to connect with neighbors and other agriculturalists in the region. Fall Fest helps fill this void by supplying a venue to gather with other like-minded people while providing encouragement and fun after a busy harvest season.”
Canen added, “Attendees are sure to benefit from our keynote speaker and Working Cows Podcast host Clay Conry who will help us discover how land, animals, money, and people work together to provide our operation’s labor force. It’s going to be a great evening of fellowship and one you won’t want to miss. Fall Fest is open to everyone, and you don’t need to be a Farm Bureau member to attend.”
The event kicks off with a social at 5 p.m., roast beef and/or ham dinner and keynote speaker to follow at 5:30, and live music by Time in the Saddle to round out the evening. Pre-sale tickets are $15, until October 12, and available through mfbf.org/events, or at the door for $20.
