Montana: Organic Association sets June 17 tour near Malta
Mark Bruckner Farms near Malta, MT, will describe methods for using nitrogen-fixing plants to boost production of rye, wheat and other dry land crops during a June 17 field tour sponsored by the Montana Organic Association.
Bruckner farms 3,400 dry land acres of mostly cereal grains using inter-seeding and other techniques to manage fertility and weeds. The farm has been certified organic since 1999.
