Montana Red Angus Association sets 2010 tour
The Montana Red Angus Association (MT RAA) has set its tour dates for Sept. 4-5, 2010. Join the South Central breeders of the MT RAA on the “Red Light Express” and see the girls, girls, girls! There will be plenty of girls for viewing (the four-legged kind), tremendous Big Sky country and loads of hospitality.
The tour will be headquartered in Big Timber, MT at the Super 8 Motel and will depart each day via bus at 8 a.m.
This year’s tour will incorporated commercial breeders along the way, as well as South Central Red Angus purebred breeders. A special feature this year is the various marketing tools that are available to help cattlemen market their calves. Special guests from Superior, Mountain Plains Video and the Red Angus Association of America will acquaint you with their specific marketing programs.
On Saturday, Sept. 4 the tour stops at the Cremer Ranch, Schwer Ranch and Larson Red Angus for lunch. The afternoon line-up includes: Fischer Red Angus in Harlowton, the Judith Gap Wind Farm and the Volf Ranch at Judith Gap at the foot of the Snowy Mountains.
After a long day of travel, good cattle and lots of fun, the tour will return to Big Timber for a luscious prime rib dinner and socializing.
On Sunday, Sept. 5, the tour gets underway with visits to Laubach Red Angus, Big Timber for breakfast and cowboy church. Then it’s back on the Red Light Express to visit Strawberry Ridge Reds in Livingston. This will be the final stop of the day the concludes with a luncheon.
