N.D. marks six months of 20K available jobs
The occupational groups with the most openings in the state are:
· office and administrative support;
· transportation and material moving;
· sales and related;
· healthcare practitioners and technical;
· food preparation and serving related;
· construction and extraction;
· installation, maintenance and repair; and
According to the latest Online Job Openings Report from Job Service North Dakota, North Dakota had more than 23,000 available jobs in July. This marks the sixth consecutive month there have been more than 20,000 jobs available across the state.
“Our job numbers really speak to the incredible strength and growth of our economy,” said Wally Goulet, chairman of the North Dakota Economic Development Foundation (The Foundation). The Foundation and the North Dakota Department of Commerce are spearheading the Find the Good Life in North Dakota national workforce recruitment campaign. “As new businesses open and existing business expand, we are continuing to see a high demand for a permanent workforce in the state.”
