Ladies should plan to grow their hearts and souls at the 2014 Rural Women in America Conference on Oct. 4, in Bowman N.D. The twelfth annual Rural Women in America conference has an agenda packed with spirit, education, intriguing topics, amazing speakers, and shopping for everyone.
The Rural Women in America conference will start the day off with a welcome from the 2014 Miss Rodeo North Dakota Codi Miller. Codi will share her journey to the National Finals Rodeo and Miss Rodeo America Pageant.
Speakers: Sara Hart, a Grammy-award winning singer, songwriter and keynote speaker will share her message "The Grateful Juggler: Finding Peace & Joy in the Chaos." Hart has become a seasoned and grateful juggler; with a list of accomplishments that attest to her commitment to keeping all those balls in the air.
Katie Dilse, Scranton, N.D., will challenge us to "Auto Steer Unplugged: Live a Little White-Knuckled." Dilse captivates audiences to live a heart-warming life through her electrifying personality and can-do spirit.
Learning session topics this year include: "Hot Topics-Food" RWA will offer an introduction to some of the hot topics of the food industry, tips and tools to become a more educated consumer and producer; "Buttercream Basics: the foundation for a fabulous cake," and "A Re-purposed Life," How a little paint brush and a whole lot of sweat changed my life," by Maria Bosak, owner and creator of EcoChic.
Rural Women in America is committed to a Pay-It-Forward project each year. The 2014 project is for the next generation of rural women. RWA is hosting a special evening session, "Girls Night Out," Oct. 3, for girls ages 13-18. This event features RWA speaker Sara Hart who will touch and inspire young ladies through her music and message "Wonderfully Made: Being the you, you are meant to be." Detective Travis Leintz will bring some great tips and education on Internet Safety and Safe Guarding against Online Predators.
