Namken to serve as Genex Beef Rep

SHAWANO, Wis. ” Jared Namken of Lake Norden, SD, has joined Genex Cooperative, Inc. as an Area Beef Representative providing personalized genetic and reproductive services while striving to improve the profit potential of beef producers throughout Hamlin county, Codington County from Highway 212 south to Hamlin County, and Kingsbury County north of Hwy 14.
As an Area Beef Representative for one of the world’s leading suppliers of cattle genetics, Namken will work with purebred and commercial beef producers to develop customized reproductive programs to meet immediate and long-term genetic goals. He will also provide complete “chute-side” service including heat detection and synchronization program assistance, artificial insemination and sire recommendations.
Namken graduated from South Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science in December 2006 and now raises registered and commercial Red Angus cattle. He also serves on the Coteau Hills Cattlemen’s Association and as the South Dakota Red Angus Association President.
