National Western Stock Show announces 2012 Commercial Female Show & Sale

The National Western Stock Show (NWSS) is announcing an improved show and sale opportunity for commercial cattlemen to show and sell their quality bred and open females. On Jan. 18, 2012 this prestigious event will combine the Colorado Cattlemen’s Show and Sale with the National Western’s Show and Sale into one event. Cattlemen are encouraged to enter pens of bred yearlings or coming yearlings in groups of 10 head each. The cattle are shown loose in pens and no clipping or grooming is permitted on the entries as this is a true commercial cattle venue. The show will commence at 9:30 a.m. with the sale starting at 2:30 p.m.

The Colorado Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) will also be having their mid-winter conference concluding in Denver the same day as the Commercial Female show and sale and they are planning to come en mass to this event. The CCA also has reserved a block of tickets to that evening’s National Western Rodeo after the sale has concluded. Before the rodeo and after the sale there will be refreshments and snacks served in the Yards for exhibitors and sale attendees.

Sale catalogs will be available three weeks prior to the event and will be available at the NWSS Web site at http://www.nationalwestern.com on the livestock page. The sale will also be broadcast live on the Internet where online bidding will be available. The sale can be accessed through the NWSS Web site.

The National Western is encouraging potential consignors to contact the Livestock Office at 303-299-5559 for information and how to enter. Entry forms and rules will be available online at the Web site mentioned above in the Premium Book section. Entry deadline is Nov. 21, 2011.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to compete and sell your quality stock. Potential buyers can also contact the Livestock Office at the number listed above to receive a catalog prior to the event.
