The ND Angus Association held the ND Angus tour on Sept. 17-18. Tour organizers Emily and Nathan Spickler did a fantastic job of lining up a great tour in the North Central part of ND. The tour started in Rugby, ND, Sept. 17, with stops at Jared Benson & Justin Green Angus. Also displaying cattle at this stop was Jake Hegland and Lynn Arnold. From there the buses went to the Carrington Research Center Feedlot, near Carrington, ND. There were several pens of Angus cattle on feed at the research center, testing different feed stuffs, and bedding. The next stop on the day was at Hoyt Angus with cattle on display from Haugen Cattle. Co., Harding Angus and Jon Brown. Spickler Angus was the final stop where Larry Corah from Certified Angus Beef briefed the tour goers on the advances of CAB while the tour goers enjoyed a CAB prime rib steak.

Day 2 of the tour left Spirit Lake Casino heading to Jallo Angus, Fordville, ND, for breakfast and viewing more great Angus cattle. Also displaying cattle at Jallo Anus was Axvig Angus Ranch and Amundson Angus. Next stop was Nelson Angus with Johnson Angus and Lazy W Angus Ranch. TNT Angus, Rock Lake, ND, was the lunch stop with cattle on display from Blake Angus. Ending the tour, was a stop at McCumber Angus, Rollette, ND.
