ND High School and Junior High rodeo competitors sought

The North Dakota High School Rodeo Association invites ninth grade through senior rodeo contestants to join its ranks for the 2010-2011 rodeo season. The season begins Aug. 28-29 with a double rodeo hosted by the Mandan Horse and Saddle Club at the Dacotah Centennial Park Arena. Other rodeos on the fall schedule include Bottineau, Sept. 4-5; Watford City, Sept. 11; and Velva, Sept. 12.

Events for boys include tie-down roping, steer wrestling, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding and cattle cutting. Girls’ events include breakaway roping, barrel racing, goat tying, pole bending and cattle cutting. Any pair may compete in the team roping.

Membership and entry forms are available on at http://www.ndhsra.org. Return the membership, eligibility and at least the Mandan entry forms by Aug. 14 to Tim Peterson, National Director at 9400 72nd St SE, Minot, ND 58701.
