ND: Town hall meetings on pipeline reclamation scheduled
The North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA) will be hosting two town hall meetings to discuss their pipeline restoration and reclamation program on Monday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. at the Tioga Farm Festival Building, 640 6th St. N., and at 2 p.m. that afternoon at the Watford City Civic Center, 213 2nd St. NE.
“This is an opportunity for North Dakota farmers, ranchers, landowners, tenants and others who need assistance in working with pipeline companies to learn about the pipeline restoration and reclamation program,” says Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring. “The program can help resolve land surface issues and concerns.”
Commissioner Goehring will lead the meetings and will be available for questions. The public is invited to attend the free meetings.
In addition, NDDA has a new brochure on pipeline restoration and reclamation. The brochure, “Landowner Tips for Successfully Working with Pipeline Companies,” outlines areas for landowners to think about when working with a pipeline company to successfully site a pipeline on their land. The brochure is available at http://www.nd.gov/ndda or by mail. To request a free copy by mail, contact NDDA at 1-800-242-7535.
