Nebraska: 2011 4-H Horse Camp set for June 9-11 at Fort Robinson State Park

Horse enthusiasts ages 8 and up, including 4-H members, leaders and parents, are welcome to attend the 2011 4-H Horse Camp at Fort Robinson State Park in Crawford, NE. Campers are advised to come prepared to take care of themselves and their horse.
Registration fee is $40 per camper. Checks should be made payable to “UNL Extension Program Fund” and mailed to: UNL Extension-Dawes County, 250 Main, Suite 8, Chadron, NE 69337. For questions, call 308-432-3373. In addition, bring the horse’s ownership and health papers as appropriate. All registrations and camper health papers are due by June 1, 2011.
The registration fee includes: A box stall June 9 only (mare barn or building 106); evening meal June 10; breakfast June 11; accident insurance; pasture corrals; water; camping June 10 at the Wood Reserve (6 miles west); and all the programs. Sponsors and parents with horses are welcome to attend, and will be charged the above rate. One horse per registration, please.
Participants are responsible for finding their own campsite or lodging Thursday, June 9. A camp-out is provided the night of Friday, June 10, only. Also, participants will have to provide their own meals except those listed above. Extra meal tickets for parents and those not registered may be purchased in advance or at registration: $9 for supper, $4 for breakfast, and $8 for craft. If available, additional stalls are $11 per day.
