Nebraska BQA training in Broken Bow on Feb. 8, 2012

A Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) training will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8. The training will be held in conjunction with the West Central Cattlemen meeting at Huckleberry’s Hideout in Broken Bow, NE. Drew Gaffney, BQA Coordinator, will be conducting this training. The training will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a social and meal proceeding the training. This training is open to all beef producers.

The BQA training will assist producers learn the best management practices in use. Reduction of injection site damage, residue avoidance, record requirements, cattle care, vaccine use and syringe care will be discussed. Many potential cattle buyers are looking for BQA-managed cattle.

The meeting and meal are sponsored by Merck Animal Health.
