Nebraska cattlemen and extension host mountain lion discussion on Dec. 2
On Dec. 2, 2010 at 7 p.m., the Northwest Affiliate of the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association and UNL Extension will be hosting a presentation and discussion on mountain lion predation at the 4H Building of the Dawes County Fairgrounds in Chadron, NE.
Mark Spurgin, Panhandle Commissioner for the Nebraska Game and Parks, will speak to ranchers and the public on livestock and rancher interaction with mountain lions.
UNL Extension will provide research-based factsheets on mountain lions (cougars) for general information. Refreshments are being sponsored by the First National Bank of Chadron. The public is welcome to attend.
