Nebraska youth join Healthy Living summit in Washington D.C.
Lincoln County 4-H members, Morgan Hansen, daughter of Eric and Jill Hansen and Eleanor Aufdenkamp, daughter of Brent and Brenda Aufdenkamp both of North Platte, Neb., represented 4-H at the National Healthy Living Summit in Washington D.C. They traveled with four other Nebraska youth and two University of Nebraska Extension staff. This program builds on youth-adult partnerships to implement a Food Smart program working to expand outreach to under-served youth and families to improve nutrition, cooking techniques and food budget management knowledge and skills.
