North Panhandle Beef Day scheduled
The North Panhandle Beef Day is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 22, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Dawes County 4H building in Chadron, NE.
The schedule includes speakers and topics ranging from:
• Karla Jenkins, UNL beef and range specialist – “Protein Supplementation Options For Cattle”
• Denny Bauer, UNL Educator – “New Value Meat Cuts to Add Value”
• Rick Funston, UNL beef specialist – “Fetal Programming in Cattle for Profit”
• Scott Cotton, UNL livestock educator – “Beef Quality Assurance Certification Session for Ranchers”
Co-Sponsors for the event include UNL Extension, Dawes County and the First National Bank of Chadron.
Registration is requested by 4 p.m., Sept. 16, by calling 308-432-3373. A $20 fee covers meal, materials, and refreshments.
