Oakwater Ranch Rocking Arrow Charolais Bull Sale
Date: April 12, 2013
Average: 97 Charolais bulls – $3,786
Oakwater Ranch held their 30th annual Charolais Bull Sale at Valentine Livestock on April 12, 2013. The sale had to be rescheduled due to the spring storm but there were no complaints. A testament to the moisture and quality of the bulls as all 97 yearling bulls brought to town had new owners at the end of the day.
This was a very impressive set of Charolais bulls. They were thick and stout with lots of style, depth, and soundness. They were above the Charolais breed average in all performance traits, yet below for birthweight. Oakwater/Rocking Arrow has been breeding bulls for balanced genetic traits that are functional and profitable for both the commercial man and the feeder, these bulls will fit that bill.
