On May 18, 1968, Lucy married Robert A. Styles in Redfield. Three children were born to this union. They lived all their lives in the Brentford area where they farmed and ranched. She was an active member of the Brentford Congregational United Church of Christ, since 1968 and the Women’s Fellowship. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, past Matron and an officer for many years. 4-H was a major part of their lives when the children were growing up with her being a leader and the kids all showing Angus cattle. The farm and Angus cattle were a big part of her life as she did all the bookwork for the farm and cattle and helped in the field also. While they lived in Brentford, Lucy was the town clerk for many years. She was relief postmaster for many years, starting in 2003. From 1974 to 1983, she played bass and harmonized with the Charlie Brown Band, Bob Styles and the Country Swingers and the Bob Styles Band.
Lucy enjoyed the time their family spent together and watching their children and grandchildren grow and participate in events. She liked reading, fishing and traveling but being home was the best part.
