Robert “Bob” F. Ochsner: 1929-2013

Robert (Bob) F. Ochsner, 83, of Windsor, CO, passed away on Jan. 16, 2013.
Bob was born in Fort Collins, CO, on May 2, 1929, to Albert and Pauline (Weismiller) Ochsner. He grew up in the Fort Collins area farming and moved to Windsor in his teenage years. He graduated from Windsor High School and married his high school sweetheart, Lena M. Winder on Jan. 18, 1950. Born to this union were two children, Bonnie (Ochsner) Rowe and Sam Ochsner (deceased). They have 7 grandchildren, Kelly Rowe (John) Zappanti, Brian Rowe, Nikki Ochsner, Amy Ochsner, Wayne (Teresa) Ochsner, Alisha Ochsner and Layne Ochsner. They also have two great-grandchildren, Sammy Bob and Aiden James Ochsner.
He has three brothers, Richard (Dick), James (Jim) and Charles. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Pauline Ochsner, son, Sam Ochsner and son-in-law Alan Rowe.
Bob was a farmer and cattle feeder for 30 years in the Timnath area. Besides feeding cattle in Colorado, he also fed cattle in New Mexico. During his many years of farming, He was a High Ten Beet Grower for the Great Western Sugar Company for three years. He served on the Fort Collins Soil Conservation Board, the Windsor Water Board, the Cashe La Poudre Water Board, and the Cashe la Poudre Reservoir Board for many years.
Bob was a member of the T-Bone Club, Elks Club and the Moose Club. While feeding cattle in New Mexico, he became a partner in a feed lot in Clayton, NM.
A funeral service will be held at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 328 Walnut Street, Windsor, CO, on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. A visitation will precede the service from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at the Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor. The family invites you to a reception at the church following the interment.
