Taisley Faith Lewis: 2015-2016

God loaned Taisley Faith Lewis to Justin and Trinity Lewis from June 17, 2015 until Dec. 3, 2016. God’s light radiated through Taisley’s bright blue eyes and giant, gappy toothed smile. Born premature, her life started with family and friends pouring prayers and love into her life. She was one of the fastest growing, most resilient babies the Rapid City NICU had seen. After nine days she took her parents to their home in Sundance where she would reach hearts for the Lord for 17 months. Taisley considered herself a voting member of the local chamber of commerce, fair board, and Crook County Republican party. She could be found acting as her mom’s assistant at Wyoming FFA events, strategic marketing meetings and daily in their home office. She was often cuddling on the couch with dad, deer hunting with Dad, tree cutting with Dad, buying new cows with Dad and then checking the cows while she yelled from the back seat, “Moo moo!” Taisley seemed to attract the roughest of personalities and break down the greatest barriers to the hearts of others. She lit up every room she entered. From everyone noticing her and saying “She’s so tiny.” To strangers making the comment that she had the most beautiful eyes…of course, because eyes are the windows to one’s soul.

Taisley loved music, dancing, animals (especially her dog Gage and cows), baby dolls, being chased, rough housing, swinging and long slides. She feared nothing and had a very determined personality. She was known for being an “easy” baby and was almost always content and smiling.

Taisley very much loved her family that she got to know well. Her paternal great, great grandmother Grace Palmer of Winton, CA; maternal great grandparents, Ronald and Faith Miller of Mud Butte, SD and Jackie Holland of Spearfish, SD; paternal great grandparents, John and Marge McCoy of Weed, CA and Tom and Sue Lewis of Star Valley, WY; maternal grandparents David and Sandra Holland of Moorcroft; paternal grandparents Bruce and Coleen Lewis of Star Valley, WY; aunts and uncles, Jesse and Charity (Holland) Crump, Arvada, WY, Jake and Chastity (Holland) Julson of Elm Springs, SD, Jo and Amity (Holland) Kissack of Rozet, WY, Christian and Cassie (Dye) Holland of Moorcroft, Jason and Taylor (Fortuna) Lewis of Star Valley, WY and Sterling Holland of Moorcroft. She loved her first-cousins, John David, Carter, Titus, Willow and Echo Crump; Chaisie, Piers, Faith and Cherish Julson; Rietta and Kestor Kissack; Ayvree and Gannon Lewis; and Lanora Holland.

Taisley is being cradled in heaven by her maternal great grandpa Roy Holland and paternal great grandma Vicki McCoy.

In Taisley’s final days when asked who made her she would quickly reply “God!” She was made for a great purpose and she was told that by her parents daily.

The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 at Grace Fellowship Church in Spearfish. There will be no visitation.

Interment will take place 10 a.m. this Thursday, Dec. 8 at the family homestead near Arvada WY. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Funeral arrangements are with Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche, SD.
