Order your 4-H photography calendars at the South Dakota State Fair
A 2010 calendar featuring photography by South Dakota 4-H’ers will be available for order at the South Dakota State Fair.
Photos for the calendar will be selected during the fair, and when the calendars are assembled, they will be mailed to those who order them. The calendars cost $5 and can be ordered at the 4-H Information Center located near Clover Hall on the fairgrounds.
Images that will be among those chosen for the calendar will be on display at Younger Hall during the fair. The sales of calendars serves to raise money for fair programming and to showcase the work of 4-H members.
Helen Geppert, the coordinator for the project, said the calendar is a good example of how 4-H can teach life skills to young people.
“The 4-H’ers who took part are learning photography skills, and they are having fun at the same time,” said Geppert. “We are anticipating that there will be many great images from which the judges will have to choose.”
The calendars also will be available for order at your county Extension office. The money raised from sales will be used for South Dakota State Fair 4-H programming.
