Paint Rock Angus ‘The Brand of Quality’ 2011 Bull Sale

Paint Rock Angus is no stranger to the cattle business. They’ve been in the Angus business for 60 years, which is why their bull sales pack the sale facility, bringing buyers from across the country to attend their annual sale near Hyattville, WY. We see loyalty from repeat customers year after year knowing that the bulls will perform in the conditions put in front of them. It has taken numerous years to achieve the level of genetics that work for the commercial cowman as well as purebred breeders. The bulls in the sale were as even as peas in a pod! Topping this year’s sale was Lot 4, Paintrock Focus 91-467-1. He was a Jan. 19, 2011 Paintrock IN Focus 91-8 son. This calving ease bull posted EPDs of BW 0.5, WW 52, Milk 20 and YW 84 with a Nov. 30, 2011 weight of 1,110 pounds. This bull left the ring at $16,000 and went home with Beaver Creek Angus, Warren Smith, from Glasgow, KY.



Leaving the ring at $12,000 was Lot 9, Paintrock Altitude 178-1, a Jan. 14, 2011 HD Dunn Altitude 5011 son. He has EPDs of BW 0, WW 52, Milk 24 and YW 92. 191 Livestock Company from Rullson, CO, was the buyer.

Lot 58, Paintrock Answer 248-478-1, sold to Bob Stoddard from Newcastle, WY for a final bid of $8,500. This Jan. 28, 2011 Paintrock Final Answer 248-9 son has EPDs of BW 0.1, WW 48, Milk 18 and YW 79.



Lot 22, Paintrock Focus 91-272-1, sold to Gale Marx from Rushville, NE, for $7,750. He was a Jan. 21, 2011 son of Paintrock IN Focus 91-8 that has EPDs of BW 1.0, WW 51, Milk 24 and YW 88.

Lot 47, Paintrock Answer 248-J32-1, left the ring with a final bid of $6,500 and went home to Mark Pettit from Silt, CO. This bull was a Jan. 28, 2011 son of Paintrock Final Answer that posted EPDs of BW 0.2, WW 50, Milk 21 and YW 82.
