Piroutek joins Tri-State Livestock News
Tri-State Livestock News, Farmer & Rancher Exchange and The Fence Post welcome Dan Piroutek of Milesville, SD as their new Cattle Marketing Executive. Dan owns Piroutek Auction Service specializing in livestock, real estate and personal property auctions. He and his wife, Gayla, own and operate a 300-cow cattle ranch in the Milesville area north of Philip, SD, along with raising wheat, oats, alfalfa and corn for silage. Gayla is greatly involved in the ranching and auction operations as well as serving as postmaster of the Milesville Post Office.
Dan has 31 years of auction experience. He has worked at numerous livestock auction facilities and is involved with the Philip Livestock Auction on a weekly basis. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science at South Dakota State University in 1976, and is a 1977 graduate of Superior School of Auctioneering in Decatur, IL. He has a South Dakota Real Estate Brokers License.
Dan and Gayla have two daughters, Erin and Amy. Erin and husband, Tim Logan, live in St. Louis. Erin owns a physical therapy clinic and Tim writes for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Amy and husband, Joe Hogue, live in South Bend, IN, where Amy is a family practice doctor and Joe is a CPA for Deloitte & Touche accounting firm.
