Average: 61 ylg. Angus bulls – $5,881
Ponca Creek Cattle Company hosted a huge crowd for their annual bull sale. Tom and Cindy Lillibridge, along with Rex and Tracy Pfaff, have developed this good herd of Angus cattle into one of the progressive top herds in South Dakota.
The genetic improvement in this herd is fantastic, and is measured by the numbers of the major traits. The catalog is packed with data on each bull, and these figures should aid in the selection of the right bulls to meet the needs of specific customers.
This was simply a very big, stout set of bulls that drew tremendous demand from this big crowd. All bulls are backed by a strong vaccination program and a first breeding season guarantee.
It was a cold, windy day, but it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the many repeat buyers, along with many new customers, who competed on these top bulls.
Top selling bull of the day was Lot 1, a bull that drew a lot of attention. He had the look of a real herd bull, and sold for $20,000 to Mohnen Angus, White Lake, S.D.
