Powder River Rodeo is coming to the NILE
BILLINGS, MONT. – 2014 is sure to bring some of the most action packed, highest quality rodeo entertainment seen yet to Billings, Mont. The NILE is pleased to announce the hiring of Powder River Rodeo Company as the lead Stock Contractor for this year’s rodeo events. Powder River Rodeo, nominated for the fifth time in 2013 as the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Stock Contractor of year, is operated by the Hank and Lori Franzen family of Riverton, Wyo. While the Franzen’s now call Wyoming home, Hank’s roots are in Montana as he grew up in Sidney. Powder River brings a top notch reputation and numerous stock voted into the National Finals Rodeo year after year, with 14 head selected for the 2013 finals. Not only do they offer outstanding bucking horses but their long time partnership with, six-time PBR Stock Contractor of the year, D & H Cattle will offer spectators the opportunity to see some of the industry’s most outstanding bucking bulls. With the 2013 PRCA Bucking Bull of the year, Shepherd Hills Tested and Craig at Midnight the 3rd best Bareback horse at the 2013 NFR, spectators coming to the 2014 NILE will be treated some of the very best in the world. For all of those fans who love the timed events, the insight of John Franzen, recent qualifier to the upcoming American Million Dollar Rodeo in the steer wrestling, it is clear that the Franzen’s will provide the best at both ends of the arena. New stock will, no doubt, draw some of the top professional rodeo athletes from not only the region but across the country to the NILE rodeo events in October.
This year the NILE will, once again, feature three nights of the most exciting PRCA rodeo action seen in Montana and one night of Ranch Rodeo Finals. The NILE rodeos return to the Rimrock Auto Arena October 15-18, with not a bad seat in the house. Make plans now and mark it on your calendar for your NILE Rodeo experience!!
