Producers might be elible for CRP hay removal extension

Under CRP rules, all hay must be removed from CRP ground by Nov. 15 (Friday). In parts of South Dakota, that is going to be difficult or impossible since the ground is too wet to support equipment. Daryl Campbell in the State FSA office has stated that producers may be given a waiver, on a case-by-case basis, to delay moving that hay due to wet conditions. He plans to send an advisory to his FSA offices on Nov. 14. Remember, it is up to each producer to contact his or her own local FSA office and request the waiver. It is not a blanket waiver!
