Rain cuts short Ropes and Goats competition

The rain could only stop the last little bit of Ropes and Goats this Tuesday, July 22; but once the rain started, it didn't take long for everyone to vacate the Faith Fairgrounds. High school cowgirl, Brandi Cwach of Newell, S.D., was the high-money earner of the night, winning both the Senior and Open Girls Goat Tying and the Senior Girls Breakaway Roping, a total of $190. She won a bucket donated in part by Faith Vet Service.

The last Ropes and Goats of the season will be Tuesday, July 29. The challenge is out to recite Philippians 4:12-13. The drawing that day will determine who will receive the $60 grand prize.

Many thanks to the people who help with Ropes and Goats!

Everyone gets three head.
