Ranch manager is missing in Canada
Several news outlets reported the disappearance of Ben Tyner, manager of the Nicola Ranch near Merritt, B.C.
Tyner was born in Florida, grew up in Wyoming and had moved to the Nicolar Ranch about three months ago to manage it, said the Montreal Gazette.
The story reports that Tyner was last seen Saturday, Jan. 26. His horse was found Monday, Jan. 28. The horse was missing a rein but did not appear to be hurt.
Friends say that the 32-year-old was “A true American cowboy,” who enjoyed working with horses and cattle as well as making chaps, spurs and whips.
Friends and co-workers do not know if Tyner had a lighter with him and the temperatures dropped to about 25F Wednesday night.
According to the Gazette, all who know Tyner say it is uncharacteristic of him to leave without telling someone where he was going or what he was doing.
Friends and family ask for prayers for Tyner.
