SDCF/RM Expands into Pierre area

The South Dakota Center for Farm/Ranch Management (SDCF/RM) Program at Mitchell Technical Institute has expanded its Farm/Ranch Business Management educational offerings to the Pierre area. Terry Hall, former Sully and Potter SDSU Extension Educator, has been hired to provide farm/ranch management education to livestock and crop producers in the Pierre area. This expansion of the SDCF/RM Program was made possible by a USDA Grant received by Mitchell Tech. Terry will start on Nov. 13, and will recruit farms and ranches in the Pierre area and will have his office in the Pierre area. Gary Grey, former FBM Instructor, worked with many farms/ranches in the Farm Business Management area in the 1980s and the early 1990s. Mitchell Tech is very proud to bring back Farm/Ranch Management Education into the Pierre area again. We would like to thank the special efforts of the South Dakota Wheat Commission and Farm Credit Services of America in Pierre for their support in this effort for helping us make this possible.
