R&D Angus 10th Annual Bull Sale

Dan Piroutek

Mavis and Joe Fleming of Valentine, NE

A nice crowd gathered at Valentine Livestock in the Sandhills of Nebraska for the annual production sale for Robb and Dana Cook of R&D Angus. It was beginning to rain and a great amount of precipitation fell on the area after the sale was over.

The R&D bulls are bred to have a lot of rib and natural thickness, yet having plenty of growth in them. The bulls are bred to be strong in their production traits and raised in a practical manner for the commercial cattlemen.

They have had some cows in partnership with Basin Angus, and that has worked well for both parties. Robb believes that the Angus cow is the foundation for his breeding program.
