Registration open for Rural Women’s Conference
Women involved in the agriculture industry can now begin to register for the 2014 South Dakota Rural Women in Agriculture conference Oct. 2-3 at the Terra Sancta Retreat Center in Rapid City, S.D.
This annual conference provides women with great speakers and resources that address current ag issues along with self-development topics. Networking opportunities, Pay It Forward projects and shopping are also part of the conference lineup.
Keynote speaker is John Beranek, who is back by popular demand after the 2013 conference. He is a motivator and executive coach who excels at helping individuals find balance and joy in their personal and professional lives.
In addition Sally Amtmann, who is a senior area business manager at Zoetis, will lead a DISC training to help women in attendance identify their leadership traits and those of others. And Dr. Gerald Stokka, associate professor of livestock stewardship at NDSU will address stewardship in animal health, behavior, and husbandry practices.
The conference will kick off with touring and shopping in the host city of Rapid City on Thursday, Oct. 2. That evening at Terra Sancta the agenda will include discussions on personal development and creative learning activities like jewelry making, massages and creating personal artwork. Friday will offer a full day of agricultural topics and discussions.
