Relief fundraiser Nov. 30 in Lemmon
There will be a silent auction fund raiser Saturday, Nov. 30, at Lemmon Livestock during the sale. Items can be donated and bid on in a silent auction format. Gumbo Hill Ranch (Cassie and Blaine Mollman) have donated a heifer for roll over auction to be auctioned off during the sale that day – anyone can bid and choose to auction off the heifer again or buy her for your bid price. In addition, a handmade star quilt donated by Noelle Benson and a custom made Frontier Rancher–Atlas Blizzard saddle donated by Duke’s Saddlery, Great Western Bank and Maher Angus Ranch will be raffled off. Plus the Grand River Gals will make baked goods and the St. Michael’s Alter Society will bake pies. All proceeds from the saddle and quilt raffle, the heifer auction, the silent auction and bake sale will be sent to the Rancher Relief Fund.
The South Dakota Rancher Relief Fund, which has been endorsed by Gov. Dennis Daugaard, is administered by the Black Hills Area Community Foundation in cooperation with the South Dakota Association of Cooperatives, South Dakota Stockgrowers Association, the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association and the South Dakota Sheep Growers Association. Its goal is to directly benefit livestock producers impacted by the blizzard.
