33 Red Angus bulls averaged $3,712
What a beautiful spring day in Belle Fourche, S.D. for the Rocking Tree Red Angus Sale. The offering was made moderate-backed with fleshing capabilities. The bulls held an average weaning weight of 580 lbs on pure grass and milk. They were a little green but fit and ready to roll into pasture and hunt some cows. All bulls were carrying outstanding maternal qualities to improve any cowherd into an energy converting, money saving, and easy calving outfit. Here are a few top selling bulls:

Lot 8, IRTR 1325, a Beckton HalfMann Hustler R588 son sold for $5,750 to Shane Finn of Nisland, S.D. This bull put EPDs of BW -5.2, WW 36, YW 64, and Milk 17 on an extremely long frame. His actual birth weight was 72 lbs with an adj. 205 of 601 lbs.
Lot 16, IRTR 1329, a RTR X04 son sold to Eddy Grubl of Sturgis, S.D. for $5,750. This bull was born at 88 lbs and an adj. 205 of 635 lbs. His EPDs are BW -4.5, WW 28, YW 42, and Milk 29.
Lot 17, IRTR 1322, another RTR X04 son was super thick and moderate with a big scrotal. Purchased by Allen Olson of Box Elder, S.D. for $5,500 this bull had attractive EPDs of BW -4.8, WW 35, YW 52, and Milk 25. His actual birth weight was 74 lbs and has an adj. 205 of 620 lbs.
Lot 12, IRTR 1333, is a Beckton HalfMann Hustler R588 son purchased by Gary Rusley of Baker, Mont. for $5,250. This bull offers EPDs of BW -8.2 (yes, negative 8.2!), WW 19, YW 38, and Milk 16. His actual birth weight was 75 lbs and has an adj. 205 of 641 lbs.
