Roughstock Permit Holders of the Year spotlighted in Vegas
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The top five permit holders from each roughstock event – based on total money at the end of the 2011 regular season – will be invited to compete Dec. 2-3 at the Benny Binion’s World Famous Bucking Horse and Bull Sale in Las Vegas.
Participants in the PRCA Roughstock Permit Holders of the Year Challenge will be competing for a committee purse of $3,500 in each event, a Montana Silversmiths buckle, a gift certificate to Barstow Rodeo and a special gift from the Resistol Hat Company.
The second-, third- and fourth-place finishers in each event will receive a pair of Justin boots and nobody leaves empty handed. The fifth-place contestant will receive a $100 credit toward his PRCA membership.
All entry fees will be paid for by the organizers of the sale, and all 15 permit holders accepted into the competition at the South Point Hotel & Casino will receive apparel from Wrangler and a South Point vest.
If any of the top five contestants is unable to take part, the PRCA will go down the list of permit-holder earnings until the field is complete.
The winner of each event will be determined on total points from the go-rounds. Each invited contestant is assured of two head.
The first tie-breaker will be the single highest-marked score from any round, and if there is still a tie, the next tiebreaker will be the regular season permit standings.
