R&R Cattle Company’s Annual Production Sale

Paul Patterson of Draper, SD purchased one of the top selling bulls, Lot 10, for $4,900.

Chamberlain Livestock provided the sale ring to showcase the R&R Cattle Company’s selection of Simmental and SimAngus cattle. Steve and Elaine Reimer and their family hosted a nice crowd for their annual bull sale. There was also a nice consignment in the sale, brought by the C Cross Ranch (Harley Cable) family from Pukwana, SD.

The R&R program has long been noted for providing central South Dakota with excellent Simmental and Sim Angus genetics. These cattle have eye appeal, but yet, tremendous performance along with outstanding carcass characteristics.

Steve Reimer has been a well-respected judge at many cattle shows in the Midwest. His knowledge of body type and quality was well represented by this offering.

Most of the bulls went to repeat buyers with many neighbors bidding against each other for this good set of bulls. R&R also brought an outstanding set of open heifers that were met with excellent demand.

Top selling bull of the day honors were shared by two bulls, Lots 4 and 10. The Lot 4 bull was sired by HS/Hooks Pacesetter and out of a Freedom daughter.
