Photo by Amanda NolzSD Cattlemen's Auxiliary members Delina Nagel, Sue Sibson, JoAnne Hillman and Nancy Montross, along with South Dakota Beef Ambassador Jessica Osterman, work in a booth at Huset's speedway, giving away cookbooks, race flags and candy to families in attendance.

Race fans lined up at the gates of Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, SD May 24-25, 2009. The South Dakota Cattleman’s Auxiliary sponsored the 4th Annual “Beef Night” at the races, with a fantastic promotion to celebrate beef. For the second straight year, the women of the Auxiliary brought race fans the 410 Outlaw Sprints to the Memorial Day Monday show. It was a weekend of mud-flying races and grilled burgers that fans won’t likely forget.

Teaming up with Huset’s Speedway Track Announcer Mark Tassler, the SD Cattleman’s Auxiliary was able to offer racetrack visitors fantastic prizes and specials. Visitors, who came to the races on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and purchased a Beef Bucks certificate for the price of $10, received a free $12 race ticket for “Beef Night” that Memorial Monday. In addition, participants also were instantly registered for several drawings in prizes such as $100 Beef Cards and much more. This promotion truly “beefed up the races” at Huset’s Speedway.
