SD Stockgrowers to hold Reva meeting
The South Dakota Stockgrowers Association (SDSGA) will hold an Area Meeting in Reva, SD, on Nov. 6, 2008, open to everyone involved in the cattle industry. The meeting will include a free supper and discussion about current cattle industry issues.
Local SDSGA Directors Linda Gilbert of Buffalo, SD, Lester Longwood of Lemmon, SD, T.W. Schalesky of Faith, SD; Regional Vice President Bill Kluck of Mud Butte, SD; and President Larry Nelson of Buffalo, SD, will be on hand at the Reva Hall at 6 p.m. to hear speakers discuss R-CALF USA, the brand inspection program and other issues.
Former and current R-CALF USA Directors Herman Schumacher of Herreid, SD and Johnny Smith of Fort Pierre, SD, will update the crowd on R-CALF USA issues and activities. They will be available to visit and answer questions as well.
Local seedstock producer and Beef Industry Council member Vaughn Meyer will speak to the crowd about the SD Beef Industry Council, the SD Brand Evaluation Committee and other topics of concern.
