SDCA gearing up for entertaining convention
November 12, 2015
Pierre, SD – There will be fun for everyone at the 67th Annual South Dakota Cattlemen's Association (SDCA) Convention and Trade Show scheduled for December 8-10 at the Ramkota in Pierre.
The merriment will begin after the SDSU Extension Roundup on Tuesday evening, when convention attendees and trade show vendors will enjoy time to relax and network during the Trade Show Welcome Reception.
"Featuring food, beverages and music, the Trade Show Welcome Reception is a great opportunity to connect or reconnect with fellow cattlemen and allied industry representatives from across the state," said Jodie Anderson, SDCA Executive Director. "We will kick of the convention with a mix of education and entertainment that will continue throughout the event."
Wednesday will continue with educational sessions in the morning, followed by the convention's keynote address by Trent Loos during lunch.
"We are excited to have Trent Loos providing our keynote address during lunch on Wednesday. Trent is a pioneer in being an outspoken advocate for agriculture and has traveled extensively to bring consumers the truth about production agriculture, attempting to reconnect them to their food," stated Anderson. "His message will undoubtedly resonate with beef producers, who seem to be perpetually in the cross-hairs of anti-agriculture activists."
The fun continues on Wednesday afternoon with the SD Cattlemen's Auxiliary's Winter Social. Join the Auxiliary to taste seasonal wines and artisanal olive oils and, perhaps, get some Holiday cooking inspiration.
