SDSU Extension, FSA to host farm bill meetings
To answer producer questions on farm bill choices and requirements, S.D. Farm Service Agency (FSA) and SDSU Extension are hosting informational meetings.
During the meeting South Dakota producers will receive an explanation on updating yields, base acre reallocation and election of programs: Agricultural Risk Coverage-County (ARC_CO), Agricultural Risk Coverage-Individual (ARC_IC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC).
They will also have the opportunity to learn about farm bill decision tools, as well as information on farm bill choice, FSA timelines and choices required of the 2014 Farm Bill.
Meeting dates and locations
• Brookings: Dec. 16, 2014 at the Swiftel Center (824 32nd Avenue). Meeting begins at 1 p.m. CST
• Huron: Dec. 17, 2014 at the Huron Event Center (100 4th St SW). Meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. CST
• Mitchell: Dec. 22, 2014 at the Mitchell Technical Institute in the Tech Center Amphitheater (1800 E Spruce). The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. CST.
