SDSU Extension offers educational seminars during BHSS
The South Dakota State University West River Extension Service will present educational seminars to cattle producers at the Black Hills Stock Show. The seminars will range from topics pertaining to ultrasound data to maintaining pasture lands.
The seminars will take place Monday, Feb. 1 through Friday, Feb. 6 at 12:30 at the Crystylx Bio-Barrel Show Ring prior to all cattle sales at the Black Hills Stock Show.
Understanding Ultrasound EPDs will be the discussion on both Monday, Feb. 2 and Tuesday, Feb. 3. Strategic Pasture Weed Control will be the topic of the presention for Wednesday, Feb. 4, Thursday, Feb. 5, and Friday, Feb. 6.
SDSU Extension Service is known for their statewide educational services in response to local issues and needs. SDSU Extension continues to offer updated researched information to South Dakota’s agriculture industry leaders.
In addition, SDSU will also be offering a scholarship through the Black Hills Stock Show. Students entering or currently enrolled at SDSU are encouraged to apply for a $500 scholarship sponsored by First National Bank of Philip, SD.
Application can be picked up the Black Hills Stock Show Livestock Office during the Stock Show or by contacting Kadee Hande at 605-391-7514. Applications are due to the Black Hills Stock Show office on March 1, 2009.
