Seeking National Finals Rodeo national anthem singers
Calling all vocalists, you could be one of three winners selected to perform the national anthem at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo this December at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Anyone affiliated with a PRCA rodeo (past national anthem performer, volunteer, worker, etc.) can enter the contest, however you must be a legal resident of the United States. Winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 21 years of age.
The promotion began on May 1 and contestants have until Sept. 14 to upload a video of themselves performing the Star-Spangled Banner to YouTube. Entries should be named NFR12AnthemContestEntryYourName. Contestants must also submit an entry form, which is available at NFRExperience.com.
A selection committee appointed by Las Vegas Events will narrow the field to 12 finalists (four finalists from each rodeo size category: small, medium and large). Finalist videos will then be uploaded for fan voting from Oct. 15-31 and the winners (one each from each rodeo size category) will be announced on Nov. 2.
Winners will perform the national anthem prior to the start of one Wrangler NFR performance, receive roundtrip airfare for two to/from Las Vegas, two nights hotel accommodations, a pair of tickets to the rodeo the night they are performing and their name and photo will appear in the official Wrangler NFR souvenir program.
