Seminole Hard Rock Xtreme Bulls Tour rides into Cody on July 5
CODY, WY – The national Seminole Hard Rock Xtreme Bulls Tour will stampede into Cody, WY on Monday, July 5 at 2 p.m. for the Cody-Yellowstone Xtreme Bulls competition. The event is a nationally televised performance on ESPN Networks that will close out the 91st Annual Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede Rodeo. Forty of the world’s top bull riders will converge on Cody Stampede Park to take their shot at a $50,000 purse.
Five PRCA world champions are scheduled to compete at this year’s Cody-Yellowstone Xtreme Bulls event. The star-studded field will include Wrangler National Finals Rodeo World Champions: Cody Hancock (2000) of Taylor, AZ; Dustin Elliott (2004) of North Platte, NE; B.J. Schumacher (2006) of Hillsboro, WI; Wesley Silcox (2007) of Payson, UT; and J.W. Harris (2008 & 2009) of Mullin, TX. Nineteen of the top twenty 2010 PRCA standings leaders, including 2010 leader Shawn Hogg, Odessa, TX, are scheduled to appear. Xtreme Bulls National Champion Kanin Asay (2007) of Powell, WY and former Cody-Yellowstone Xtreme Bulls Champion, Chad Everett Denton (2009) of Berry Creek, CA are also scheduled to appear.
Seven Wyoming riders will compete in the July 5 event; in addition to Asay, they include Will Farrell, Thermopolis; Seth Glause, Rock Springs; Charlie Gorzalka, Clearmont; Clayton Savage, Cheyenne; Bobby Welsh, Gillette and Tyler Willis, Wheatland.
Cody will also welcome the “baddest,” meanest, rankest one-ton athletes in the world. These bulls have thrown cowboys at the largest rodeo venues in the world, including the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, RodeoHouston, San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, Reno Rodeo and more.
The Cody-Yellowstone Xtreme Bulls format will have all 40 riders compete beginning at 2 p.m. After the first ride, the top 12 will be immediately brought back for the final round to ride for the event championship.

The Cody-Yellowstone Xtreme Bulls event will be televised on ESPN Networks with 8-time PRCA world champion bull rider Donnie Gay and Cody’s own Dan Miller providing commentary. The event will be telecast on ESPN2 on July 25 at 2 p.m. ET; it will run again on ESPN2 on August 28 at 3 a.m. ET; on ESPN Classic on October 1 at 11 p.m. ET; and on ESPN Classic on November 7 at 3 p.m. ET.
