Sheep Foundation Memorial Scholarship open
Denver, Colo. -–Through the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI), a Sheep Heritage Foundation Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 is being made available for sheep-related graduate studies. The scholarship is for the advancement of the sheep, lamb and wool industry through financial support of a graduate-level (MS or Ph.D.) student attending a school in the United States.
• Be a graduate student involved in sheep and/or wool research in such areas as animal science, agriculture economics or veterinary medicine with proof of U.S. graduate school acceptance
• Complete an application
• Present two letters of reference.

The deadline for submitting an application is June 1. Final selections will be made in July.
ASI is a national trade organization supported by 46 state sheep associations, benefiting the interests of more than 79,500 sheep producers.
Many livestock producers are utilizing stockpiled pasture, hay regrowth and warm- or cool-season annuals to extend the grazing season this fall.
