Sioux Empire Farm Show Limousin Show and Sale

Neal Pearson, Lake City, S.D., judged the Sioux Empire Farm Show Limousin Show Jan. 23 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Pearson chose lot 15, SYES Worktime 252Z, a consignment from Symens Bros. Limousin, Amherst, S.D., as champion bull. He was sired by CHTT Worktime 4925W and out of Miss SYES Nightowl 152T. He was the highest selling bull and sold for $5,750 to Jay Langdeau, Ft. Pierre, S.D.

Reserve champion bull went to lot 17, Master BRUN 2387Z, a consignment from Bruner Limousin Inc., Winfred, S.D. He was sired by Master BRUN 1040S EZ and out of Lady BRUN 1504U. He sold for $2,750 to Swenson Farms, Milford, Iowa.

The second highest selling bull was lot 7, a consignment from Nolz Limousin, Mitchell, S.D. He sold to Larry Laska, Lake Andes, S.D., for $4,000.

Pearson chose lot 1, Lady BRUN 2307Z, a consignment from Bruner Limousin Inc., as champion female. She was sired by Master BRUN Captain 1458U and out of Lady BRUN 1877X. She sold for $2,500 to Lee Clemon, Soldier, Iowa.

Chisum Peterson, Pukwana, S.D., served as auctioneer for the Limousin Sale. He auctioned 14 bulls and one female. Fourteen bulls averaged $2,982.14. F
