Sioux Empire Farm Show: Market Swine Show
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Lynsey Schmitz, Oakes, N.D., exhibited the champion market hog, a crossbred barrow, at the Sioux Empire Farm Show Market Swine Show Jan. 28 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The reserve champion market hog, a crossbred barrow, was exhibited by Jenna Belt, Orange City, Iowa.
Jason Boyle, Moorehead, Iowa, judged a total of 136 hogs. Hogs were shown in purebred and crossbred classes.
Tyler T. Frasher, Anamosa, Iowa, exhibited the top purebred barrow. Ben Olsen, Irene, S.D., entered the top purebred gilt. Denton Sanders, Eagle Grove, Iowa, exhibited the top crossbred gilt.
Third through 10th places overall were as follows: Denton Sanders; Lincoln Smit, Sioux Center, Iowa; Troy Grocott, Colton, S.D.; Tyler T. Frasher; Jessie Frasher, Anamosa, Iowa; Cory Sampson, Nevada, Iowa; Paige Miller; Davin Brugman, Peterson, Iowa.
