Six purebred cattle breeds vied for the coveted $12,000 Supreme Row purse, sponsored by Tri-State Neighbor, Wells Fargo Bank and Campbell Supply Co., during the week of the Sioux Empire Farm Show Jan. 21-25 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Angus, Plum Creek Lutton 3H421C, was named Supreme Row Bull. Consigned by Plum Creek Angus, Algona, Iowa, he was sired by EXAR Lutton 1831 and out of LaGrand Peg H421. He sold for $8,000 to Dennis Smith, Estherville, Iowa.
The Angus, SF Erica Eileen 311, was named Supreme Row Female. Consigned by Scholtz Farm Angus, Comfrey, Minn., she was sired by SAV Prosperity 9131 and out of Moffitt Erica Eileen M906. She sold for $4,000 to Charles Buus, Lennox, S.D.
