Smith Angus Ranch 21st Annual Bull Sale

Doug Hogan
Jim Sybrant and Kent Smith of Bassett, NE

Smith Angus Ranch held their 21st annual bull sale at the ranch 25 miles southeast of Bassett, NE, March 26, 2010. Smith Angus is owned and operated by Kent and Faye Smith and family. It was a great spring day – other than the high winds – but it didn’t seem to bother the bulls as they were in excellent working condition.

Kent and Faye have spent numerous hours culling cows and choosing the right genetics that work for cattlemen and women and you can tell by their many repeat buyers as well as numerous new buyers that made their way to the ranch.

Smith Angus bulls had moderate to low birth weights but still had the growth and performance that you want. There were bulls in the sale that would fit any operation from purebred to everyday rancher and this is what made for a great sale.
