South Dakota: 2012 Trail to the Stampede to be held in Bonesteel
Bonesteel has been home to any number of wild and woolly celebrations in the past but this promises to be a good one. The trail drivers will gather up at around 7:30 a.m. the morning of July 18th, and invite everyone to a free cowboy breakfast served out of the chuck-wagon. Shortly after breakfast the herd of Longhorn cows, some with calves at side will be trailed down Bonesteel’s Main Street. A site to see and one that we hope will be long remembered.
Watch the paper for details and locations. Make plans now to attend the cowboy breakfast, watch the drive down main-street or to join the Trail to the 2012 Burke Stampede. Riders and wagons and teams are welcome. Contact trail boss Chris Cernetisch for more details at 605-830-0473.
