South Dakota 4-H hosts 3-D Archery Tournament
South Dakota 4-H and Howkota Archery Club will host an open 3-D Archery Tournament in conjunction with South Dakota’s 26th Annual State 4-H Shoot.
It will take place April 25-26 at the Oahe Downstream Recreation Area outdoor archery range near Fort Pierre. The 3-D tournament will be open to the general public in addition to 4-H members.
Archers can report to the range anytime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, or between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. Registration fees are $12 for adults (ages 18 and older), $10 for youth (ages 12-17) and $5 for cubs (ages 8-12) and pee-wees (ages 7 and under). Cubs and pee-wees are free with a paid adult entry.
Awards will be offered for adult, youth, cub, pee-wee, and 4-H divisions in a variety of bow categories. The course will include 30 3-D animal targets. Tournament rules will be posted the day of the shoot. The tournament will take place snow or shine. Contact Tim Withers for more information at (605) 280-6435.
